I watched his report to Congress tonight and feel so uplifted and so hopeful and SO ready to LIVE. He totally gets it --- WE have to be responsible for OURSELVES. WE can change this SITUATION. WE have power to make our lives, and AMERICA, a better place.
I'm near tears.
Obama has also asked Gene Robinson to speak at his inauguration next week. Rick Warren is still speaking, but the addition of Robinson, in this robot's humble opinion, balances the event as well as shows Obama to be who he says he wants to be: a uniter.

George Carlin has passed away. I've been watching clips of his comedy routines on YouTube and trying not to laugh too loudly at work.
Overly self-righteous dude, James Dobson, is telling anyone who'll listen that Barak Obama is "distorting the Bible." Whatever. I don't see Dobson following the Bible letter for letter. If he was, he'd be sacrificing goats and have a long beard, as well as stoning adulterers and thieves, just as the Bible directs.

...that America is still a varied place. Surprise! Actually, I'm kinda pleased that no clear winner came through yesterday, although some would argue otherwise. I did stay up to watch Obama's speech and yes, I got a little teary. That guy is smooth, man. He knows what to say and how to say it. Part of me is just crazy about him yet the other part (the cynical one) is waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I'm all jumpy happy! Yay! Barack Obama won the Iowa caucus. Now "The Media" can shut the fuck up about Iowa and get on wit bidness.
*Oh, and that crazy baptist guy won his party's caucus as well...
