I'm in the market to buy a new digital camera. Anyone got any suggestions? I want something compact and that has a viewing screen on the back. Gracias.

I would suggest that you find one that has a "sports" pre-setting, usually the icon is a little stick man running. And try to find one that will take non-blurry photos without the flash.
I love my Canon Powershot SD450. I know very little about the specs, I got it because it is super tiny (I have carried it in my purse since I got it and never even notice it), and has a huge screen on the back to view the pics.
I recently purchased a Sony Cybershot DSC-W50. It came to me recommended by Gus of Gus & Fer fame and is more than awesome. The link has specs and reviews.
I recently bought a Nikon Coolpix L4... super cheap and has been in my purse ever since! It only has a big screen on the back... no peep hole. I got one for my mom as a gift, and enjoyed it so much on our vacation, I got one for me too! It's simple to use.
