If you scroll really fast...
...you can see Baptist Memorial Hospital go bye-bye. Baby G and I got up a little late yesterday morning, hence our not-so-hot view (it's still pretty damn decent!). There were tons of people out to see the implosion. It was a cool humid morning and I believe that helped slow down the giant dust cloud that resulted from the blast. It began with a series of explosions that sounded a lot like fireworks, then the building fell in on itself, then the massive dust cloud started coming our way and we ran back to the car to avoid getting covered in asbestos and soot. Good times. My camera is on the old side, hence the gaps between pics, but you get the idea.

that's pretty frickn awesome. im glad we didn't drive though.
looks like i might be home for thanksgiving.
It was a very cool thing to see. I just wish I had had a video camera to record it...it would have done the immensity of the implosion justice. It lasted all of 30 seconds, though, so you were smart not to drive all this way to see it.
"Annudder time."
