For everyone visiting this particular post, if you don't think this election doesn't mean anything, visit the link. You'll either find it funny in its ridiculousness or you'll cry because it so depressingly real.

I agree with DM, very moving. I loved it and wanted to cry. But I had already cried during Oprah (a Rwandan genocide survivor was reunited with her family and got a free Ipod*) so I was all cried out.
Thank you, TR and BG for your tiredless efforts to get the word out! I'm voting tomorrow...althought half-legally. Half as a singleton, half as a married lady.
*I was joking about the Ipod.

Thank you for the link...hopefully it will stay on YouTube long enough for everyone to see it, and hopefully not cry or puke while doing so.

GOTV fever is spreading like bird flu throughout our sweet land of liberty. Just yesterday, Bucky and Satchel started their own battle for democracy, and it looks like it will continue all week.

I really like Bucky's idea that ballots are just potential Mad Libs worksheets. I certainly kept that in mind when I went to the polls this morning and was prompted to "Choose one of the following candidates for US Senate"; every candidate got their own Mad Libbed suffix, and thanks to paper-free voting, the next citizen will get their own chance to besmirch everyone's name, free of any lingering taint. Now this is a concept worth fighting and dying for, yes?

I like Bucky's suggestion, too. The Mad Libs way of voting is certainly more entertaining than the "real" way, and with Diebold in charge, it would probably make just as much a difference...good thing these people are around to help make a stink about it.
