Happy [yawn] Monday...

Friday, I went home early with a migraine. Lights started flashing in my left eye, then my right. I couldn't see, I started to feel sick to my stomach, then it stopped. Then the pain came. P-A-I-N. I dosed myself with some ibuprofen and went home to climb into bed. I passed out and woke 4 hours later, refreshed and headache-free. Odd. I have had some nasty headaches in my day, but nothing like that one. Yikes. That night, I watched the 1974 version of The Great Gatsby on DVD. Oy. It was a two hour Massengill commercial starring Mia Farrow's giant eyeballs. Pass.

Saturday, Baby G & I joined D&M and Abbe to go to the Austin City Limits Festival. First, we saw Ben Kweller. He apparently got a nosebleed before his set, thought he was okay, started his set, and realized he wasn't. He bled all over his guitar for 2 songs, then asked for a tampon from the crowd. He got one, stuffed it in his nose, sang a nasal version of one of his catchy tunes, then played a piano song before giving up. The piano keys bloodied, he apologized and walked off stage. Poor guy. I'm gonna go check eBay to see if that tampon is up for auction.

We also saw The Shins (boring), The Raconteurs (rockin!), and Baby G & I watched Massive Attack (very trippy) while D&M went to see Willie Nelson. Needless to say, that evening I was completely drained.

Sunday came, as did the rain so we skipped ACL to have a late breakfast at The Omlettery (2pm or so) and go to the toy store. After that, we hit Target so I could score new sunglasses (mine had broken of their own accord on Saturday), and the grocery store to score some beer for the evening.

I, of course, wish I were still in bed today, as it is dark and rainy outside and I'm completely knockered. Alas, Gentle Readers, life goes on and I must keep up. The business of cataloging stops for no one. Not even me.
