Back to Life, Back to Reality
Hello Gentle Readers! I'm back from Atlanta. It was hot and muggy the whole time. Everything there cost an arm and a leg (ah, the east coast...). I think we would have had a better time had someone taken the time to plan some activities and get a city map before the trip. Hindsight is, as they say, 20/20.
Our whole reason for going to Hotlanta, besides spending some quality time together, was to get a little Major League Baseball action. The Braves beat the Cubs; a major disappointment. I got alcohol poisioning from overdoing it Sunday night and spent all of Monday puking so you can imagine how much fun I had sitting at the top of the stands at the game that night. (To get to the ladies room I had to run down a gauntlet of 57 steep steps, around slow vendor guys standing in the way, through one passageway, and take a jog around 3 food pavillions . Thank the gods I started feeling better halfway through the game--there was no way I would have made it to the ladies room to chuck.)
Other than that, I had a good time. I'm just glad to be home! To balance out the negativity of my post here is a poem I composed while weakly but resolutely walking up the ramp to our seats at Turner Field (remember I was dehydrated, I hadn't eaten in 24 hours, and I was probably delirious---go Cubbies!):
whispers its existence to the sky
before drifting apart

I like your poem!! Why did y'all go all the way to Hotlanta to see a B-ball game? Don't they have something nearby? And a Cubs fan? Oh Tiny Robot, that's just a wee bit sad. Course, I can't really talk...I will only watch the Rangers and that's just because I'm from Tejas.

Hell yeah I'm a Cubs fan! There's no shame in that!
Yes, we did go all the way to Hotlanta to see a game. And, of course, hang out with each other and eat overpriced food in the hotel restaurant. (wink!) It was fun, save for the alcohol poisoning. C'est la vie, right?
Ummm...however do you want me? However do you need me?
Thanks t. - for flooding my mind with memories of sixth grade...and providing me with more random dities to bust out singing...as if these people need anymore clues as to how annoying I am.
Hope the trip to Atlanta was worth the hangover...oh, and next time, ask your brother to post the dates, room number, phone numbers and correct address so I can stalk you more efficently. Thanks.
Heh! I'll see what I can do.
