Suffragette City

Yours truly is a delegate to the county convention! Baby G and I caucused last night, along with about 460 other folks in our precinct, a huge turn-out. Turns out our pal Lindsay, along with both D and M of DM, are also delegates! Woohoo!

The First Time

I'm going to my very first caucus tonight. I'm excited and nervous and nervous and excited. Not necessarily in that order. Yes, I get excited about voting. I can't help myself. It is a little-known fact Tiny Robot's Optimism chip overpowers the Cynicism matrix when the glimmer of idealistic democracy sounds its siren call from the precinct nearby. So I literally can't help myself!

Baby G is accompanying me to the polls after they close so we can sign in and caucus for our candidate. I may just even volunteer to be a state delegate...if they'll have me. *Nerd blush!*

Sigh. Too bad tomorrow it'll be back to the grind, the political mud-slinging, and the campaign promises washed in the tears of virgins and dried with the softest of kitten fur...

Primaries

When is the primary in your state? Time has an interactive graphic for both Democratic and Republican races in each state. You can see who has won which states and the number of delegates pledged to them. You can also find out when your state's primary election is. If you're not registered to vote, register today. If you don't vote, you can't complain how shitty things are, nor can you be instrumental in change.
