You can thank Booklahver for alerting me to these

Apparently it's trendy to get very unique bridal portraits done these days (see Jesus pose, left).

But did you know brides can also get themselves, their gown, and their cellulite photographed for their husbands-to-be (and the viewing public it seems). Oh, and yes, that link is NSFW. They're called "bridal boudoir" shots -- and they give me the heebeegeebees.

Does the pose that Tiny Robot selected for the post remind anyone of that hilarious scene from Drop Dead Gorgeous when the beauty pageant contestant dances with a crucified, stuffed Jesus doll to "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" as her talent?

No?

Oh -- i had forgotten about that scene! Wasn't she on rollerskates too? Hilarious!

Ah, Drop Dead Gorgeous!!! Awesome!
You know, I wanted a male perspective on the boudoir shots so I roped Dave into viewing the site with me. He was also completely disgusted with the shots. They looked like the end results of those modeling scams where you pay someone for "professional" photos so that you can send them to a modeling agency. Trash-y!

Yeah, most of them were very "let's go to my wood-paneled basement" kind of shots.

I wonder if the women who are shown in these photos allowed the photographer to put their picture online, or if the photographer got the rights to the pics and posted them without their permission?

Because they are not explicit, the photographer would not need permission. S/he owns all rights because they took the pictures. The subject has no rights.

Aren't intellectual property rights a bitch?

Note to self: never get robot ass pics taken professionally.

To bring this full circle to a more recent post... Didn't Heath Ledger sing "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" in that movie with Julia Stiles?
