Yay, Good Samaritans!
Good Samaritans really do exist! This story is so refreshing, especially after all the stories you hear about crime victims' screams and pleas for help being ignored by passerby. This restores my faith in humanity a little bit.

I'm glad that those people stopped the assault but two things disgust me about this article:
1) The raper. Obviously.
2) The fact that "alleged" is used. I kind of wish they would just leave it out. I know it's there for legal reasons but alleged makes it sound like it didn't happen when, clearly, it did. Argh
Yep, that rapist is pretty scaring looking. Bet his mother never loved him.
As for the word "alleged" I believe it's standard practice to use it until there's been a conviction. Legal shit, but I don't think it diminishes the hideous nature of the crime or the criminal.
