Colbert to run...for realz

Apparently Steven Colbert really is going to run for POTUS. He's apparently not running as a Republican b/c it costs $35,000.00* (?!) to get on the ballot in South Carolina. To run as a Democrat, one only needs $2,500.00 or 3,000 signatures.

Wow, no wonder we get presidents who have no clue about regular people...if you have to pay $35 grand just to get on a ballot, what hope do normal folks have? Not that normal folks are Republican...but you know what I mean.

*I guess this has something to do with it:

As far as I understand it, he's only running in South Carolina so he can only be elected for the primary in South Carolina. Right?? Confused.

Actually, it turns out the SC Dems rejected his application for candidacy. Surprise.

I would have liked to see him run. He's whip-smart, but I think his alternate persona is what did him in.
