Our federal prisoners beat, rape, maul and kill each other in the joint. Prisoners in the Philippines, however, choreograph a dance routine to Thriller. Over 1,500 of them. Oh, and one really ugly "girl."

Very odd. And yet, it raises some important questions.
1) Did the prisoners have to audition to be Michael and/or in the select dance group?
2) Why were some prisoner zombies better than others?
3) Am I that out of touch with the feminine form that I thought that one dude was a girl from the back?
4) How did they pick the girl? I mean, she wasn't a prisoner (I guess) because she's not in the uniform...
5) Why?
A shiny nickel to those that can answer these questions!
Very fitting for Halloween. Makes me want to do the zombie dance in my office right now.
Don't feel bad, B. I thought the dude was a lady from behind, too.
I have all the answers to Booklahver's questions:
1. Everybody in this country loves to sing and dance...I'm sure it applies to the convicted felons as well. I bet they had so many volunteers that they didn't know what to do with them...and probably had 3-5 different shows. Wouldn't want to leave anyone out and hurt feeling!
2. Some prisoner zombies were better than others because they have the music in them.
3. Be glad you're not a man here. There are so many dudes here that look strikingly like women it baffles the mind. Even in the middle of the rice bowl...
4. They probably had more men trying out for the girl part than any other specific role. I think they picked her through a round-robin elimination tournament of badminton.
5. Why? Don't tell me YOU'VE never dreamed of choreographing thousands of people who don't really have any reason to say "No" to your every bidding. Or...maybe it was either Thriller or The Hole...Also, I bet The Hole got pretty crowded after that choice was given.
I will patiently await the arrival my shiny nickel. Good day.
