Oh! No!
Oh no! The Republicans are slipping in the polls. So what do they do? Bring up gay marriage, of course! Oooooo! The Scary Gays and their demands for these things called 'rights'. Who do these gays think they are? Citizens?
But seriously, STOP distracting voters with gay marriage, Repubs. Whether or not two people can marry isn't a big deal. Perhaps if you focused on the real issues, you might have a chance of hanging on to your precious majority in Congress.
The facts are thus:
- the situation in Iraq is FUCT,
- the Middleclass (if there is such a thing anymore), not to mention the millions of poor in this country, is struggling against a ridiculous healthcare system and a failing education system,
- and Congress just passed a stupid bill to build a 700 mile fence (WTF?) along the US/Mexico border that Dubya actually signed into law! Yeah, spend billions on a fence. Great. Idea.
But noooo, you have to dig at ignorant and socially conservative peoples' fear that giving gay people the same rights as everyone else will cause the end of civilization as we know it. Ha! I laugh at your "convictions". I laugh at your empty threats of a federal gay marriage ban.
Guess what? Republicans don't give a fuck about you, Social Conservatives/Christian Coalition people. Wake up! They only care that you vote for them, that's all. In case you haven't noticed, the Bush Admin is really busy killing Iraqis, building fences (literally) and making everyone in this country appear to be a small-minded idiot to the rest of the world. Now, I realize most of you type folks ARE small-minded. That's why you're Christian Conservatives, right? But perhaps if you took a moment to look at the big picture, you'd realize that your Republican pals aren't your pals.
Well, honestly, there aren't any politicians who are anyone's pals. They seem to only dig corporations... but that's a topic/rant for another day. So vote for the lesser of 2 evils this Election Day! Happy Friday, Gentle Readers.

Yup, as for the whole using you thing (re: Christian Conservatives), some of the evidence can be found in a recently released book, Tempting Faith, a firsthand account from a Christian Conservative who worked for Bush and other Republicans. and comment about it. Thanks again to DM for this info. I also saw an interview with Kuo on PBS's The News Hour. He looked like someone just told him Santa Claus isn't real.
sorry for that unintentionally long-ass link. i need more practice with this whole html thing.
Here's the html code for putting links in comments:
a_href="[addy]"
(put that inbetween an < and >
then type text that will appear and be clickable
then put /a inside < and > and you're good to go! Hope that helps!
yeah, i forgot to put the closing code. thanks, babe.
AMEN TO ALL THAT!!
On a silly note, go here to Chris Bell's Contribute page and read the top paragraph. I'm not sure if its funny or lame. Either way, Vote Bell!
haha, did you hear karl rove interviewed the other day? when asked about the republican's slipping numbers he replied: "not according to our numbers."
when pressed further he said, "Well you have your math, and I have THE math."
I did not know someone was placed in charge of math.
yes, K-Rove is now the new God of Math. did you not hear of this? this all going according to plan. soon, they will be legislating new laws of physics.
It's already happening. I was sitting under a tree when an apple fell. Instead of obeying gravity and hitting me on the head, it flew up toward someone in a higher tax bracket and presented itself as a tasty treat.
"Trickle-up" physics?
