Off to a good start
Last night Baby G and I went for a bike ride. We rode about a mile or so before my butt went completely numb on the stupid bike seat I have. I had already ridden a half-mile or so during my lunch break yesterday, so I didn't feel guilty about calling our ride short last night. After stretching and showering, Baby G asked if I wanted to go to Target. Me, being the shopping-crazed robot that I am right now, said yes! and off we went.
I bought a helmet (an ugly blue one, it was on sale) and a cushy gel seat cover for my sadistic bike seat. I will try them out this evening if it's not raining.
My legs feel like jelly today, but I'm alert and awake. Amazing what a little exercise can do. In my mind, the brown dress just got a touch bigger. Heh! If only! I'll see how it fits again in a month.
Reading Corner:
- Just finished reading: Oryx & Crake by Margaret Atwood.
- Currently listening to: [audiobook] Assassination Vacation by Sarah Vowell.
- Want to read: Brave New World by Aldus Huxley and Idlewild by Nick Sagan.
- Will pick back up again one of these days: Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke.
