Slow Children at Play
Ever have a day where everything is in slow motion? Your head is kinda fuzzy? Your colleagues keep emailing you instead of the person they intend because they are dumb don't see that a group email requires a "reply all"? You've drank so much coffee your stomach lining is detaching? You're hungover because you drank an entire bottle of shiraz last night for fun while you made your mom's Mothers Day gift and watched 2 movies starring Jena Malone? You can't seem to blow your nose enough? You're waiting to hear some very important news, but you don't know when you'll hear it? You are experiencing post-camping trip blues? You want to shake RTG by the neck but you're too tired to get up from your desk?
Yep. Slow. Motion.
At least we've got a [rare] post from Baby G (see below) to cheer us. Viva la Baby G! I'm going to look at the record player and get my RPMs on the correct setting.

This happens to me almost weekly at work! Why does the shiraz taste so yummy that I feel the need to drink the whole bottle...or why don't they make the bottles just a wee bit bigger so that I can justify leaving some in the bottle?
Maybe if I switched to screwtop wine...then I could feel good about leaving some over?? Hmm...
I too am experiencing camping hangover but not a drinking hangover. I have been dragging butt all week but luckily have had projects, potlucks, and deadlines to keep me busy. What two Jena Malone movies? The only one I know of is Saved. I watched Blast from the Past and Clueless while cross-stitching. Alicia Silverstone is delightful when you don't have to pay attention to her!

The other flick was The United States of Leland which doesn't exactly star Ms Malone, but she's in it a lot so I can fairly say it's a Malone movie. I didn't get to see all of it anyway since St. Gorton called me in the middle of it. It'll come on Showtime again this week, so no worries.
Leaving the campsite reminded me of when I was little and we would drop my brothers back home with their mom after the (every other) weekend. I'd cry all the way home. This was the same, just not all the way home.
Awww, D! That's so sweet.
I was rolling out dough to make pizza tonight and I thought to myself, "Last week, I was eating hot dogs and drinking Tecate around the fire..."
It was bittersweet. Thankfully, I have pics of our good times camping. I will treasure them.
