Coffee + Good Mood = Megabuzz

Wheeee!

Gentle Readers, I am feeling great this morning. I don't understand it either. Heh! But seriously, I feel good today. The coffee is almost too much, ya know? This weekend (a long weekend by the way) was a pleasant one: lots of good things.

Good things:

  1. Roller skating. I hadn't been skating in almost 6 or 7 years so since Baby G's practicing for Roller Girl tryouts, she took me to the rink with her. It was tremendously ghetto and full of 5 yr-olds skating in the wrong direction, but where else could I skate to Whoop that Trick on a Sunday afternoon? You tell me. I started to get a blister and Baby G couldn't really practice with the swarm of kids falling down in front of her all the time, so we left after about an hour. My feet are still tingly from the seen-better-days rental skates, but whirling around the rink was quite exhilarating!
  2. I applied for an excellent position this Saturday. It's in Tx, and (on paper anyway) has all the elements of the perfect job for me. I realize there's no such thing as a perfect job, but I also know the one I'm in now is 180 degrees away from perfection. Nowhere to go but up, yo?
  3. After a couple weeks off from working on my side-business project, I started making earrings again this weekend. It's so therapeutic. I've made around 50 pairs so I think I'm ready to open shop. Granted, that means there's a ton of administrative-type stuff that I'm not too keen to work on, but merch doesn't sell itself from my closet. I did make Baby G a pair of drumset earrings Saturday. She was kind enough to wear them yesterday too. So far, she's my only customer, and she gets a steep discount (read: free).
  4. Speaking of craftiness, I finally discovered the joy of colored duct tape! I bought a roll of purple tape and have already made two bracelets, a kitty collar, and a wallet! It's very addictive. Must get more tape...
  5. The spring camping trip is only 6 weeks away...Mother Nature, here I come!

I want to buy some earrings! I think I should have dibs before the general public...but that's just cause I think that I'm special.

I certainly can't argue with your specialness; however, i can tell you you will be one of the 1st to know when the goods hit the market.

Where's the job?
And I have also experienced the wonders of Tiny Robot jewelry. And it was fabulous.
