Boss for the Day
The Interim Dept Head is out today which means yours truly is Acting Interim Dept Head which means no one in this office has done a lick of work since 8am.
Examples of non-work accomplished by staff today:
- The department
ChristmasHoliday decorations were taken down and put away. - A debate on the success of particular holiday activities ensued for 45 minutes.
- Requests were made to go to the rotunda and dismantle those
ChristmasHoliday decorations. Apparently, as no one with any authority to allow that was around today, there was no way to gain permission to do so. In lieu of that, staff continued to sit around and shoot the breeze. - A rant about jealous women was started by one of the clerks. (?!). This ate up another 15 minutes --- I gently excused myself from that fray.
- One colleague who told me she was taking a half-hour lunch so she could leave a half-hour early just came back from a one and 1/2 hour lunch. I'm not great with math, but, um, that's a bit obvious...
- DBS, who I assume never does any work anyway, has been poking his head in our department more than usual today. Gosh, he should win some sort of slacker award or something... perhaps for Most Annoying Presence In or Out of an Office.
- Finally, there is practically no one on this campus today anyway, so all this worry about being productive is in fact, non-productive. When Chik-fil-a doesn't even bother to open, it's time to shut the whole operation down and get the fruck outta here.
I don't get no respect. Eh. Who does?

I'm sorry tiny.
I'll give you a lesson in using the words "f*ck","cops","glock" and "b*tch" to get people in line...
I've done a bit of "management" too...if you know what I mean..
S'alright. My real problem today is RTG and all his "You go have yerself a happy holiday, nahw, ya hear?" bullshit.
I have to wonder what would happen if I snuck out the other door this evening to avoid RTG's proclamations of dorkass sincerity?
Perhaps Santa will bring me the cahones to kick RTG's neuticles in the New Year?
