Monday Monday bah bah bah bah bah bah
The title of this post is supposed to be a Mamas & Papas lyric, but it really just comes off more like a repetitive complaint when typed out. Hmmm...
In happier news: Today is my friend Laura's birthday. I want to give her an official Hermes Neuticles birthday salute and tell her that she's been a great friend and inspiration over the years. 2005 marks 10 years that we've known each other. During that time I've seen her take on all kinds of obstacles and challenge the status quo all while maintaining a hilarious sense of humor. Viva la Laura and Happy Birthday!!
Food Fabulous:
As many of you may know, I think Thanksgiving is a ridiculous holiday. All you do is stuff your face and there's nothing on tv but football (ugh). There are no decorations, no presents and no cake. Hell, you can stuff your face any old day of the week, why travel to bicker with your relatives to do it? That said, I have found a delicious Thanksgiving-inspired menu from Ms. Paula Deen (my culinary hero) that would make even the crabbiest relative (namely me) simma-down-now and dig in! Fried Green Bean Bundles? Yes, please!

Yeah, those Fried Green Bean Bundles sound divine! And easy to make. I also liked the sound of the Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle. That's kind of like cake, right?
Have a wonderful day!!

Yep, trifle is basically the 'lazy person's' cake... you just layer stuff in a big glass bowl and then dig in and eat!
On a totally different subject, but still concerning food, what is the deal with this cereal? It looks like little piles of poop in a bowl! Yikes!
Yay!
Happy 30th to the QP!
Sorry, tiny...I had to use your blog to echo the sentiment...she doesn't have her own...
...and I'm sure she'll be happy that I'm "rubbing in" the actual number even more...
Ooo, yeah, see, I wasn't even going to mention the big 3-0 bidness, but since you did, I guess it's okay...wink!
so, if we've known each other for 10 years... and we met when I was drinkin... and I'm 30! that means that i was an underage drinker.... hmmm.
but, thanks for the happy!!!!
i'm much happier about the 30 thing since having a few vodka tonics.....
Love,
laura

Underage? Well, obviously! I was younger than you at the time...remember, we went boozin' at Mulligan's and some guy puked on my toe? I still have the tile from the crumbling ladies room wall --- do you still have yours?
May we be friends for the next ten (and more)!
