You can't spell 'slaughter' without 'laughter'
Well, it's finally happened---yours truly has been asked to be a bridesmaid. The Booklahver's gettin' hitched next fall and I get a front-row seat! (Actually, I'll be standing, but you know what I mean.) Many congrats to the happy couple!
I ran into an old pal today, Staggering Brain, who happened to drive by as I was running. I mean jogging. Okay, okay---I was walking, but it was fast walking! It was so lovely to see her and her new fella. We caught up on old times and new times the sidewalk and made tenative plans to possibly talk about maybe going into business together next summer if/when she moves to my fair city. Huzzah! Could be vely vely interesting. Sure would beat the hell out of "proving" myself to a bunch of PhD's on campus who I don't care about and who'll probably continue to metaphorically spit on me even after I've earned another masters degree beyond the one I have that actually matches my field.
Who, me? Bitter?
Santa Claus is coming to town. Well, not for anther 10 weeks, but it's never to early to plan what I'm making/baking folks for christmas. I've decided to make gifts this year because last year I spent too much money on people who probably can't tell me my middle name. This year, yer gettin a card and a cookie and you're gonna like it.
Snap!

As one of the slowest runners on the planet, I say that you can say you were running no matter the speed! And, I posted today...do I get moved back up to the other section if I promise to post with more regularity???
Ooh, I know your middle name. Do I get two cookies?
As for being bitter: aren't we all about something? It's when you become bitter about everything that you become a problem. You know what I'm talking about! :)

As long as I have Caramel Chex Mix, I can never be bitter about everything. Good times!
