Afterglow

Yesterday went pretty well despite a power-outage at work and uncomfortable (but fashionable!) shoes. I received many e-cards and e-greetings and a box o' goodies from Missy (thanks for the asparagus soda cans!). I even got a cookie bouquet from Booklahver. For dinner, Baby Guanaco drove me to the restaurant a little before 7 and I hobbled in to find a long table with my friends sitting around it. That sight alone is worth having a birthday, kids.

We enjoyed a dinner of tasty Indian dishes and I opened some very thoughtful presents. After stuffing ourselves we went back to the house to have birthday cake (made in the shape of a robot by BabyG) and late night chitchat. So after a wonderful day like that, you can imagine this morning is a bit disorienting. Perhaps I'll be lucky enough to get to do it all again next year.

They were great! The bathroom sign featuring an angry turd was quite interesting, but I must say I like the soda cans best.

Oh, and we finally figured out what you meant when you signed the Britney card from E&D...

Thanks doll!

I've been enjoying the squirrels on your site by the way...

I hope Melinda enjoys the dairy-free chocolate chips. Months ago we had a discussion about the existence of dairy-free chocolate chips.

The Hello Kitty item is for Sarita.

Yeah, I meant to wish you a happy birthday too! I've been in a nonproductive funk lately, but will shortly update my lj...I promise!
